Two-Thirds of Republicans Are (Willfully?) Misinformed.
According to a recent poll developed by a government professor at Dartmouth and conducted by YouGov, 63 percent of Republicans believe that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction prior to the start of the Iraq War. Of course, it is now accepted as absolute fact that that was not the case. The only argument left is whether or not Bush and Cheney knew that before the war began.
And, as the TV pitchman says, “But wait! There’s more!”
As if that’s not discouraging enough, the poll also reports that 64 percent of Republicans actually think Barack Obama was not born in this country.
How can you expect to hold serious, rational conversations with people like that?
