Today that paragon of objective journalism, Fox News, is busily promoting the so-called Tea Parties being thrown around the country during which conservatives are chanting “taxation without representation” and protesting the Obama “tax hike.”
May I offer a couple of little nit-picky points?
Yes, the original Boston Tea Party was indeed about taxation without representation. But -- you see, fellas – this time around, whatever taxation we have comes WITH representation. Your point again is … ?
And exactly what tax hike are you protesting? Most Americans will be getting a tax cut. The only increase will be for those among us lucky enough to have a taxable income of over $300,000. For heaven’s sake, don’t let facts get in the way of your blathering!
So it continues: knee-jerk opposition to whatever Obama proposes and no alternatives put forward. Pretty lame, don't you think?

Seems to me that these so-called "TEA Parties" are much like a revival meeting for the congregants of the First Church of Fox News, attended by The Chosen who have accepted Rush Limbaugh as their Personal Savior.
I think there's a comment somewhere about the quality of American education when demagogues can so easily create embarrassments like "TEA Parties."
